About Zihuatanejo
A Hidden Gem on Mexico’s Pacific Coast
Zihuatanejo is the kind of place favored by those who have seen everywhere else.
It lures travelers who appreciate privacy, discretion, and beauty without pretense.
That’s why we built Casa Tulum here, where mornings unfold over coffee and the sound of fishing boats; evenings linger with candlelight and the scent of lime and sea. Zihuatanejo is the kind of place that reveals itself slowly, where time stretches, the light softens, and the horizon seems to belong entirely to you.
There is an intimacy here that the world’s more polished resorts can’t replicate. The beaches remain blissfully uncrowded, the air is perfumed with salt and bougainvillea, and the rhythm of daily life feels both elegant and unhurried. The town itself, set around a tranquil bay, hums with understated sophistication. Here you’ll find a blend of coastal authenticity and quiet refinement.
We love Zihuatanejo because it embodies the rarest form of luxury:
Simplicity Perfected.

Getting to Zihua
-
Casa Tulum lies just 20 minutes from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH), a boutique coastal hub offering private arrivals and direct connections from major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Minneapolis, and Chicago.
-
From runway to retreat, your travel journey ends in comfort. Our private chauffeured Suburban (reserved exclusively for Casa Tulum guests) whisks up to six passengers directly through the villa’s gates. Additional private transport can be arranged upon request.
-
We love Zihuatanejo precisely because it is not an overdeveloped tourist hub. Things can book up quickly during peak season (November – April), so we encourage early coordination.
Arriving before 4 p.m. allows time to settle in during daylight hours, enjoy a welcome drink, and watch the sun set over the bay.
